If the glass is misted or foggy between the panes but the frame is still in good condition, you almost certainly just need a replacement sealed unit. The misting is caused by a failed seal — moisture gets into the cavity between the glass panes. Replacing the sealed unit is far cheaper than replacing the entire window.
Measure the width and height of the glass (not the frame) in millimetres. If in doubt, call us on 0113 236 1203 and we’ll talk you through the process. For trade customers, you’ll know the drill — width x height in mm, glass type, and spacer bar specification.
For standard double-glazed units in common sizes, same-day collection is often available when you order before 11am. Call us to confirm availability before coming to the depot.
Our sealed units carry a 5-year PTF Glass guarantee against seal failure under normal conditions. This covers misting or moisture ingress caused by manufacturing defects. Damage caused during or after installation is not covered.
Yes. We deliver across Leeds and West Yorkshire. Delivery is typically next working day on orders placed before 2pm. For same-day requirements, collection from our LS13 depot is usually the fastest option.
No. PTF Glass is a supply-only business. We manufacture and supply sealed units. We do not provide installation services. For straightforward like-for-like replacements, a competent installer can swap sealed units relatively quickly.
